Technical Difficulties! (Update!) 1/27/2014

Posted by MysticSkillz - January 18th, 2014

Greetings Newgrounds Peoples and Fans!

Well guys it seems that my motherboard on my computer has bite the dust! Just what I feared! :/

So it's still going to be some time before I can get a chance to work on anything new, my plan was to work on Ryu vs Akuma The Final Round next month. (Cancel that plan!) Anyways! I'm updating this post from old desktop so I can view flash work here. No! I can't work on anything from this desktop due to it being older than time itself. lol

This still sucks because I'm losing money and clients for my system being out of commission. I know motherboards don't come cheap, but looking in the right places like ebay, amazon and tigerdirect, I'm sure I can find a good replacement for a low price. Just gotta make sure it's the right one.

Until then!

Is it consistent.
Does it do this every time, at the same point during boot up?
How is it when windows is running?
Does it look normal during normal operation?

If you've answered yes to the above questions it's likely software issues, possibly drivers...

If you answered no to any of the above:
Is the problem intermittent?
Does this problem come and go, giving you unpredictably bad working conditions?

Send answers to me in a pm, will see how I can assist you further

Windows seem to be running fine, what is happening is after a few seconds after it shows the windows logo, it goes to a blank screen. I've also tried an external monitor and I got the same thing. If I happen to get it working for a short time I may have to backup what I need and try to format it. But if you have another idea what it can be please share.

\/ Damn, what a nice guy!
Worse case scenario, you might have to do what I'm doing - plug a monitor into the laptop, and use that... but in my case, the ballast/starter for the bulb took a poop, which doesn't seem to be your problem. Hope it gets sorted soon!

I've tried that and the same thing is happening. Shows windows for a second and straight to blank screen. Only reason I'm able to make this reply is from an old desktop.
